Teenagers interested in Science could take part in the Geoscience program consisted of a number of training courses, science camps and workshops covering a broad range of topics and disciplines related to the Geosciences, such as General geology, Studies on natural water (Hydrogeology and Hydrology), Geophysics, Mineralogy, Geochemistry, Meteorology, etc.

Not just theory, classical lectures and presentations, students in the Petnica Center also have an opportunity to take part in field work on attractive and challenging sites and, after appropriate training, to work on individual or group research projects within the field of Geosciences or in colaboration with young colleagues from other scientific disciplines and departments of the Petnica Center.



Lectures, consultations and mentorship is given by a number of professional scientists and university teachers from specialized institutions from Serbia and abroad.



Department of Geosciences has its science and training laboratory with modern equipment and valuable collections of rocks, minerals, fossils, etc. Within the Petnica Center’s Library there is a lot of books, magazines and other sources of scientific information covering a broad spectrum of topics and specialized areas of Geo-sciences.

Many young associates, assistants, professional associates, and former students of the same program are involved  in Program helping attendants during their research projects and everyday tasks .

The ultimate goal of the Program of Geossciences is the realization of individual research paper from the appropriate area, by the topic that attendant formulate, with mentorship of young and professional associates.
